Ayo Fayose, The Original Messiah to the poor Masses.

They call him the Controversial Governor, I call him Ayo, the joy of the masses and the only man who listens to the cry of the needy. Ayo is a yoruba name which means "Joy" in English language.

Has he not been a source of Joy to the poor masses? Maybe you need to take a trip to Ekiti state and find out for yourselves. Although, those who's heart are blinded by hatred may not agree with me but that doesn't change the fact that Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose is the messiah of the masses. The man who truly knows the pains and agony the masses are passing through on a daily bases. The man who thinks the masses first before his personal ambition. When others walk, Peter Ayodele Fayose is Running, when others are Running he is flying, he is a man who feels the pains and suffering of the common man. He is a man who believes that both the Rich and Poor are equal before God No matter your position in the society.

You will all agree with me that any Government that does not improve the lives of the poor masses is a failed Government, and can never fulfil the real meaning of Democracy.

What is democracy? According to the dictionary, Democracy is the Government of the people by the people and for the people but in my dear country, Democracy is not what the definition is all about as it is the government of the rich by the Politicians and to the rich alone. Haven said this, I am sure my readers will definitely need my explanation. I will explain it to everyone's satisfaction.

I have seen Government projects all over the country, such as "Housing" that No poor masses can afford. Shops/shopping Complex that No poor masses can rent? Some even spent Billions in planting flowers while their people goes hungry. No portable water, no light, No support for the poor masses, no empowerment programs yet they claim they are transforming the state. How can they claim they are transforming the state when those who voted for them are dying of hunger? Don't get me wrong, infrastructure is one of the obligation of every working government but its shouldn't be to the detriment of the poor masses.

I have seen the ongoing Projects and infrastructures by The people's Messiah Ayo Peter Fayose, I have heard him communicate with his people. The only man who seeks the advise of his people before embarking on any of his project. The man who listen to the voice of the masses, the solemn reason I called him the messiah of the common man.

Unlike those who syphon Billions in the name of infrastructure development. Those who build bridges where there is no river. Those who's first priority is to oppress the masses. When you build an Estate that the poor masses can not afford, and you build market meant for the rich and wealthy, what have you made yourself?

The calamity that has befall this country today is as a result of neglect, total Neglect of the common man's future and that of their children. Those who can't feed well won't be able to educate their children in school. This children will grow up to become a liability and a threat to the society. How can the so called rich people sleep with their eyes closed when the sons of the poor have become a threat to them? The menace they also created will never stop hunting them.

I won't stop praising Ayodele Fayose, The governor who thinks the masses first before his personal ambition and glory. God Bless the Joy of the poor masses. God bless Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose, the executive Governor of Ekiti state.

BREAKING NEWS: Infantino Elected New Fifa President

The 45-year-old Swiss has been elected president after securing 115 votes in the second round of polls and has vowed to restore the image of the game's governing body Gianni Infantino has won Fifa's election for a new president, succeeding the disgraced Sepp Blatter. Uefa's general secretary secured 115 votes in the second round of polls, beating off favourite Salman Bin Ibrahim al-Khalifa into second while Prince Ali bin Hussein finished third. Infantino succeeds the dethroned Sepp Blatter, who was suspended from all football activities for eight years - later reduced to six - along with ex-Uefa president Michel Platini for corruption. "I cannot express my feelings in this moment," he said after hearing the result.
"I told you I went through an exceptional journey, which made me meet many fantastic people, who live and breathe football, and many people deserve to see Fifa is highly respected.
"Everyone in the world will applaud us for what we will do. Everyone will be proud of what we will do. However, no candidate was able to accrue the
necessary majority of 138 votes from a possible 207,
meaning a second ballot will be required.
Infantino received 88 votes, while Sheikh Salman - the
other pre-vote favourite - took 85.
A new president will be elected should a candidate
receive 104 votes in the second ballot. If no such
majority is reached, the lowest-ranking candidate in
terms of accrued votes will drop out of the running
and a third round will take place.
Results of 1st ballot: 27 votes for Prince Ali; 85
votes for Shk. Salman; 7 votes for Jérôme

Lagos State governor Akinwunmi Ambode - Commend Pre, Buhari for the strategies Adopted To Salvage The Economy.

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, on Tuesday, commended the strategies adopted, so far, by President Muhammadu Buhari, to address the challenges confronting the economy, and solicited the support of all Nigerians in ensuring that they succeeded.
The Governor spoke at the Lagos House in Ikeja, while playing host to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Breweries Plc, Nicolas Vervelde, who was on a courtesy visit, with senior management staff of the company.
He said that though the nation was going through lean times at the moment, he believed that it was a temporary setback that would be overcome by the President and his team, including, indeed, all those who have been elected into office to serve in this government, who see salvaging the economy as a collective responsibility and a duty owed the people.
He expressed optimism that the foreign exchange crisis plaguing the country, which has resulted in Naira depreciating considerably low against the Dollar, could resolved, but that the country must look inward and start to embrace massive local manufacturing of products and local ownership of businesses.
Ambode said the deficiency which Nigeria is currently experiencing in the economy, as a result of the forex challenges, was a pointer to the fact that all hands must be on deck to carry out some kind of structural adjustment on the economy and encourage the manufacturing of products needed by Nigerians in Nigeria.
He said the Nigerian Breweries had shown a very good example of encouraging local ownership of businesses, especially with the transformation of the Lagos branch of the company to a totally Nigerian outfit, urging other foreign investors in the country to look toward such direction.
"The issues at stake are more about a short term deficiency that we are experiencing in the economy. We don't believe that the issue of foreign exchange will last forever ,and it is something that is solvable but, then, it is a pointer to the fact that there has to be some kind of structural adjustment in this economy and everybody has to start to look inward.
"The Lagos breweries of the Nigerian Breweries Plc is a hundred percent Nigerian outfit, which is the kind of examples that we expect from businesses to ensure that we start to create a structure that allows Nigerians to own and run businesses of their own, and do things that are made in Nigeria, so that we can free up, as much as possible, the forex that we demand all the time. And that is why we all are committed to supporting President Buhari in the things that he is doing, which we know that, ultimately in the medium term, a lot of Nigerians will appreciate what is being done," Ambode said.
He also reiterated the commitment of his administration to always create the enabling environment for businesses to thrive, especially by placing much priority on the safety of lives and property and improving on the infrastructure in the state.
"We know that if we have a safer Lagos, it creates more opportunities for your investment to thrive and it also creates job opportunities for our people. Within that context, we will be able to get more revenue as taxes and, also, improve upon infrastructure and allow the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Lagos to grow. We have that commitment that we will improve on whatever it is that we are doing and ensure some appreciable ease of doing business," he said.

Matters Arising: Pastor Impregnates Two Sisters

General Overseer of the Victorious Sacred Solemn Healing and Deliverance Ministry, Prophet Oluwaseyi Idowu has been arrested for allegedly impregnating two sisters.
The pastor, it was gathered, also allegedly attempted to sell their father's two-storey building without his consent.
Policemen from the Oko-Oba division in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area of Lagos State stormed the church last Sunday to arrest the pastor.
The Nation learnt that the pastor was invited to set up his church and manage a flat in the sisters' father's compound when he had accommodation problems in Agege.
Their brother said: "I and my brothers bought my father a two-storey building in Ogunsola close, Abule-Egba and at that time, Pastor Oluwaseyi had rent issues. My father allowed him to set up his church in his compound and also manage a flat. We never knew that was the beginning of our problems.
"The pastor held several vigils to create awareness and public attention. As time went on, he invited people to stay in the church and from the church they moved into the main house. Occupants left the house for the pastor's people to move in and they lived there without paying a kobo.
"Months later, the pastor said he wanted to marry my 20-year-old sister, a virgin, who just graduated from secondary school. We never knew he had been sleeping with her for months before then. Recently, we found out that he also impregnated my 25-year-old sister who has been indoors for the past nine months."
He said that their parents were not talking because the pastor's congregation and family have taken over the building.
He added: "I called my elder brother who told me to report the case to the police. It was at the police station we found out that he intended to sell our building to build a new church elsewhere."
Since the incident, it was gathered that members of the church have vowed never to return.
An officer at Oko-Oba Police Station said: "This is not an issue of rape; the two impregnated sisters could have resisted or lodge a complaint against the pastor; it was when they got pregnant that a complaint was sent to us and we intervened. But even if Pastor Idowu is charged to court now; it's useless because the girls were not raped. However, the neighbours and residents at Ogunsola Close are claiming the pastor used charm to sleep with them, and that is not an issue to be resolved in the court."

Man Sentenced To 1&Half Year In Jail for Stealing PepperSoup and Palmwine In Ondo State

Nigeria's justice system is fast and swift when the ordinary man is involved. An Akure Chief Magistrates’ Court on Monday sentenced a 31-year-old man, Ayodele Joseph, to 18 months imprisonment for house breaking and stealing pepper soup meat and palm wine worth N2,600.

Ayodele pleaded guilty to the crime and begged the court for mercy, saying "I do not have parents, please I will not indulge in such act again."

JAMB gives candidates 48 hours to complete late registration

THE Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)  has given two days to candidates, who could not upload and complete their registration process, to do so.
The board, in a statement issued in Abuja yesterday by its Head of Media, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, said  its website would be opened to candidates from midnight yesterday till tomorrow’s midnight for them to complete and upload all late registration.

Boss Damages 13-year-old Apprentice’s Private Parts For Being Obstinate.

Thirteen-year-old Pelumi Fawibe, an apprentice photographer, has yet to recover from pains after his boss, Olajide Olaoye, reportedly damaged his scrotum while he was beating him with a wire for being obstinate.
Our correspondent learnt that the boy had been living with the boss for three years before the incident happened on Sunday, February 15, at his shop in Ile Epo bus stop, Badagry, Lagos.
Fawibe was said to have been admitted to the Badagry General Hospital, while the boss was arrested by the police from Area K, but was released afterwards.

Man Rapes Nine-year-old Boy In Lagos Old Akute Road, Iju

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 34-year-old trader, Mallam Isiaka, for allegedly we learnt that Isiaka was arrested and detained on Saturday by the Iju Police Division after the victim, Christopher, (pseudonym), complained about pains in the anus to his mother.
Christopher, a primary 1 pupil, who stayed with his family on Coker Alhaja Street, Old Akute Road, Iju, was said to have opened up to his mother that Isiaka allegedly raped him through the anus at different times when she sent him to buy items from the trader.
Our correspondent gathered that the boy was taken to the Mirabel Centre for tests which revealed that the boy had been slept with through the anus. Further tests to ascertain infections were carried out on him.

Shocking!!! Family of 7 dies in auto crash At Katsina

…Man, 2 wives, son, grandson, brother's wife, driver perish
GRIEF filled the air in Musawa town, in Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State at the weekend following a
fatal road crash which claimed the lives of seven members of a family.
The accident occurred along Funtua-Zaria Road following a head-on collision between the victim's vehicle (Toyota Camry) and a Volkswagen Sharon,
around 12 noon on Saturday.
Spokesman of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Katsina Sector Command, Route Commander Ya'u Mohammed
confirmed to Daily Sun yesterday that four of the victims – two men and two women – died on the spot while no fewer than eleven others were rushed to Funtua
General Hospital for treatment.
A relative of the deceased persons, who pleaded anonymity, further told Daily Sun that they lost Rabe Sule Musawa, his wives (Aminatu and Zinatu), his son,
grandson, brother's wife (Umma Bello) and driver, Ghadafi Ibrahim Babawo.
It was also gathered that all the victims have been buried in Musawa according to Islamic rites with former majority
leader of the House of Assembly, Dr. Lawal Musawa, a brother of Rabe; the Head of Administration, Musawa Local
Government Council, and former
chairman of the council, Tanimu
Ismaila, among other dignitaries in at­tendance.

It's so unfortunate that we have been pushed to making this publication, following frustration and inability to help students re-print their JAMB exam slip for UTME exams, slated to begin on 27th Feb, 2016.
Our question now is, if this slow and, at times, total crash of JAMB site persists at this time, how possible will it be for all candidates to re-print their exam slips before 27th Feb.

NECO Set To Introduce CBT For Objective Examination

The National Examinations Council (NECO) on Monday said that it was concluding plans to migrate from the Paper-Pencil-Test mode to the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for its objective examinations.
The registrar of the council, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
NAN reports that the management of the council had, in 2015, announced plans to adopt the CBT mode for its objective questions.
According to him, migrating into the CBT will make the examination less cumbersome but be cost effective.
"We have almost finalised the procedure on the CBT mode for our objective examinations.
"As soon as we have a governing board in place, the plan will be tabled before it for discussion and approval. How soon this is achieved, depends on the Federal Government.
"We are, equally, working toward a complete migration to the CBT for all our examinations.
"It is not easy to conduct theoretical, practical and oral components of our examinations.
"We are, however, currently talking with some private firms on the possibility of using CBT mode for those other examinations,'' Garba said.

The Democratic Peoples Congress DPC, has called on the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, to resign following the declining state of the Naira and the Economy. "We demand his immediate resignation and re-organization of the apex bank for effective policy formation and implementation that will stimulate the national economy and steer it on the path of growth, development, advancement and prosperity. "The present crop of top CBN officers are suffering from leadership fatigue and ignorant of effective strategies to evamp the economy and restore the value and dignity of the nation's currency, naira.

"It is time for all patriotic Nigerians to stand up and be counted in the efforts to overhaul the economy and save the naira from further depreciation," the party said.

Highly acclaimed professor, Deji Akinwande has been selected to receive a'2016 Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE)'by President Barrack Obama, the United States government's highest honor for scientists and engineers in the early stages of research.
Prof. Akinwande is an associate professor in electrical and computer engineering and the Jack Kilby/Texas Instruments Endowed Faculty Fellow in Computer Engineering in the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin.
He is among 106 recipients announced by the White House on Thursday. The winners, who will be honored at a ceremony in Washington, D.C., this spring, were selected for having research that is both innovative and beneficial to society. Prof. Akinwande is one of two PECASE recipients from The University of Texas at Austin. The other recipient is Prof. Keji Lai from the Department of Physics.
Now in its 20th year, the Presidential Early Career Awards are coordinated through the President's Office of Science and Technology Policy, which selects winners"for their pursuit of innovative research at the frontiers of science and technology and their commitment to community service as demonstrated through scientific leadership, public education, or community outreach."
Prof. Akinwande is known for his groundbreaking research on nanomaterials, sensors, devices and flexible technology. He is considered one of the top researchers in the world in the areas of graphene, silicon electronics and 2-D nanomaterials for use in flexible electronics. In 2015, Akinwande created the first transistor out of silicene, the world's thinnest silicon material, and he is continuing to advance the capabilities of computer chips and other electronics.
Prof. Akinwande has been the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Inaugural IEEE NANO "Geim and Novoselov Graphene Prize," an IEEE Early Career Award in Nanotechnology, a National Science Foundation Career Award, an Army Research Office Young Investigator award, and a Young Investigator award from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
Previously, Texas ECE professor Mattan Erez received the PECASE award in 2014 and Prof. Seth Bank received the PECASE award in 2009.

5 Children Locked Themselves To Death Playing Inside Deep Freezer

Five young children were found dead in a locked freezer in a South African town.
The children, ranging in age from 3 to 7, were discovered Tuesday evening by their grandmother in Kakamas, in northwest South Africa.
They apparently suffocated inside an old freezer in the yard, police said. The children were believed to have been playing in the freezer when they accidentally got locked inside.

Jose Mourinho Reportedly Signs Pre-Contract With Manchester United

Former Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho has reportedly signed a pre-contract agreement with Manchester Unitedand will take over from current Old Trafford manager Louis van Gaal in the summer.

Wayne Veysey of Football Insider writes that the Portuguese has sealed a three-year deal with the Red Devils worth £48 million, equivalent to £308,000-a-week.
The report added that, despite increasing calls for Van Gaal to be sacked immediately, Mourinho, 53, will not take over until the end of the 2015-16 season.
Mourinho, who has won the Premier league 3 times with Chelsea, has been continually linked with the United job as their season has unravelled, and Bleacher Report’s Dean Jones believes he could be a big help at Old Trafford.

Buhari’s Wife Opens N4bn Erisco Foods Tomato Processing Plant In Lagos

Wife of the president, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, on Thursday inaugurated a 450,000 tonnes tomato paste processing plant in Oregun, Lagos State.
Built by ERISCO Foods Limited, the plant cost a whopping N4 billion ($150 million).
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mrs. Buhari tasked relevant government regulatory agencies to step up actions towards checking the import of foreign and substandard foods into the country to protect local manufacturers and the health of Nigerian citizens.
“I think we have imported enough and we have to change that culture of importing things we can produce locally”, she said in her address.

A Bangladeshi man was beaten to a pulp by members of the public after he was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl inside a toilet at the Rampal Business Park, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, yesterday, Thursday, February 18.
It was learnt that the young girl had accompanied her father to a cybercafe there. The 30-year-old man entice her into following him into the toilet where he molested and force himself on her.
However, a member of the public saw what happened and banged on the toilet door until the man opened it. People gathered and proceeded to beat him up.

A magistrate court in Ilorin, Kwara State, presided over by Magistrate (Mrs) K.A Yahaya, has remanded one Gabriel Josiah, a.k.a Eli-wakuku, said to be a prophet and founder of St. Moses Orimolade Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Osere area of the state capital, and others in prison for allegedly being in possession of human skulls.
The suspects were charged to court for criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass and unlawful possession of human head, contrary to Sections 97, 348, 219 of penal code law:

OFFICIAL FULL LIST: NUC Releases List Of 65 Illegal Tertiary Institutions In Nigeria

The National Universities Commission has released a list of illegal degree awarding institutions operating in Nigeria.
The schools were published in the NUC’s weekly bulletin dated August 24.
According to the bulletin, the NUC Executive secretary, Julius Okojie, warned that those who patronise the schools, do so at their own risk.
“Certificates obtained from these sources will not be recognized for the purpose of NYSC, employment and further studies,” the NUC said.

Another fuel scarcity appears to be looming in Lagos state due to an ongoing leadership tussle between the Mobil branch and national office of the Petroleum Tanker Drivers Union, PTDU.

27-yr-old Man Rapes Two Women Same Time in Osun

An Osogbo High Court on Wednesday kicked-off the charges on 27-year-old man, Festus Oyetola, for allegedly raping two women at the same time.  The defendant, who was accused of raping one Oluwafikayo and Christiana, was also accused of robbing eight other persons.
According to the charge sheet, the accused, together with other members of his gang, who are at large, committed the offence at Moro in Osun State on November 27, 2012. The prosecutor told the court that Oyetola was armed when he raped the two women.

Doctors have successfully operated on a baby girl born with three legs. She was born with an extra leg sprouting from her back due to a rare condition which affects one in a million infants.

The Two-year-old baby named Varsha Sena, from Delhi, was born with two legs, and a third limb growing sideways out of her spine.

Nigeria Maybe Thrown into Total Black-out Very Soon - NERC said

  

The country may be thrown into a blackout in the near future if the advice by the Senate to the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission to reverse the new electricity tariffs is heeded, power distribution companies have said.

This is coming as NERC stated that it had not received any official communication from the National Assembly on the advice to stop the implementation of the revised tariffs.
