Oladapo Olaitan Olaonipekun popularly known as Dagrin is no doubt one of the best lyricist to come out of Nigeria. The news of his sudden death at the peak of his career came as a rude shock to many people. Today, April 22,marks six years since Dagrin passed on and in this article,we take a brief look at the life and times of the late Pon Pon Pon Crooner.

1. The late rapper was born Olaitan Olaonipekun to Mr. and Mrs. Olaniyi Abolaji Olaonipekun on 21, October 1987.He was the fourth child in a family of nine.

2. He attended Meiran community primary school, Roseille Nursery and Primary School, Meiran Community high school and Egbado College.

3. He had a music store located at Meiran bus stop, 'House of Nelly sounds' store where he used to stay before moving to Surulere.

4. He was a Yoruba lyricist; just like the older but le$$ popular Lord of Ajasa and he got the nickname Barack O'Grin from the remix song he did with General Pype titled 'Champion'.

5. Dagrin's album,CEO, was the most successful rap album of 2009, and one of the most successful hip-hop CDS of all time in the history of Nigeria music industry.The tragically prophetic song titled "If I die" was recorded on February 5th 2010 and was the last song he recorded before he passed away.

6. His first international show was billed to hold at Indigo, 02 in London April 30th 2010, but he passed away before the date.The late rapper had three nominations at the 2010 Hip Hop World Awards and won one award for "Best rap Album".

7. He featured on over 30 songs for different Nigerian artistes that turned out hits i.e Y-Q, Kenny Saint Brown, Jazzman Olofin, 9ice, Dipp, Ajuju, e.t.c

8. He died eight days after his car ran into a parked lorry in front of Alakara Police station, Mushin on Wednesday April 14, 2010. He was admitted at Luth on Thursday April 15th 2010 and the resident doctors went on strike at 12am that same day.

9. He was only 22 years when he passed on 22 April,2010. He continued to receive more airplay on radio, television and gain more popularity after his death.

10. His Twitter ID was @Dagrinfimile, Facebook was Dagrin fimilejo. He had 4,930 friends on Facebook.

Chaos as Rude School Girl Lands Dirty Slaps on Her Principal

In a most dramatic and rude manner, a school student known for her recklessness has brutally slapped her school principal over a disagreement.
A KwaYanguye High School student near Melmoth, KZN in South Africa has allegedly caused trouble after she brutally slapped her school principal.
According to Daily Sun SA, the incident happened on Monday when a girl doing grade 8 allegedly slapped the principal for telling her to get into class after a break.
A source at the school told Daily Sun SA that the girl who attacked the principal is known for her rude behaviour.
"She does as she pleases at school. She attends classes when she feels like it. She often stays outside the classroom, intimidates others and causes chaos."
It was gathered that the girl grabbed the principal by his shirt before giving him dirty slaps.
An official, Induna Levela Biyela said he received the news of the incident and was planning to go to the school to get more information.
"I've received reports that kids who are arriving late at school cut the fence to get in," said Biyela. He said he has also attended a number of meetings on the issue of drug abuse by students.
Education spokesman Sicelo Khuzwayo said the department will conduct an investigation.
"We will give a suitable punishment if we found someone has been on the wrong side,"he said.

“Man Of God” C@ug ht Rap!ng Married Woman During Deliverance Service

A so called man of God identified as Pastor Attah, has been busted as he was forcefully having carnal knowledge of a female church member he was conducting a special deliverance for in his church at Oron Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
Pastor Attah reportedly relocated from Cameroon, where he had spent many years to establish the church called The Salvation Light of the World Ministries, and has been performing signs and wonders, drawing members from far and near but no one knew he was hiding behind the church to perpetrate evil.
From what we gathered, he had given the woman a special delivery assignment which she was to carry out with dry fasting. After the seventh day, as the woman was sleeping in the church, Pastor Attah who was supposed to be praying with her, sneaked to the weak woman, and told her the holy spirit told him to have sex with her to complete her deliverance.
The shocked woman allegedly refused and he tore her clothes and forcefully raped her while she tried in vain to fight him off. She managed to scream and some neighbours who heard her rushed to the church to see Pastor Attah on top of her. The people raised an alarm and other people went to the scene where the woman was rescued.
The rapist pastor was given the beating of his life and taken to the chief's palace where he was kept till day break with people trooping to catch a sight of him. At the moment, the church has been deserted while he has absconded from the village out of shame."

According to Our Source, the incident happened in Onicha Uboma Autonomous Community, Imo State. The woman, Ifeoma, allegedly killed her one-year-old baby, plugged out her eyes and drank her blood, inside her husband's shop.
It was gathered that her husband, Azubuike Emedom, left his baby in the custody of his wife and embarked on a business trip, only to return the next morning to find out that the mother and child we're missing. When he got to the shop, he discovered that the shop was locked from the inside.
After repeated knocks, he was said to have broke down the door, only to find Ifeoma inside with blood on her mouth and the baby wrapped in blood stained cloth. He uncovered the baby and discovered that she had died, with her eye balls plucked out. Her hands and legs were also broken.
One of the community leaders alleged that Ifeoma is of a marine spirit. His words: "I believe she used this child for sacrifices, she sucked the blood of the child because by the time we caught her, her mouth was full of blood. She killed the baby intentionally.
She always renders sacrifice to their gods in the river. Some months ago, she attempted to kill a woman from our community. She injured the woman with a knife. Confirming the news, DSp Andrew Enwerem, the Police Public Relation Officer of the Imo Police Command, said investigations were on going.

Linda Ikeji Reacts To Wizkid’s Photo With Lagos Commissioner Of Police; Says Wizkid Apologized

Wizkid took to his Instagram some hours ago to share a photo of himself posing with the Lagos State commissioner of Police. Wizkid shared the photo via his Instagram page and it has sparked reactions from fans who hailed Wizkid.
Linda Ikeji took to her blog to reveal she and Wizkid met with the commissioner of Police and she asked forpeace at the meeting today. She also revealed that Wizkid's lawyers already apologized. Below is what she wrote:
So, I am going to write about this Wizkid matter for the very last time. Anything else after this will no longer concern me. So Wizkid and I met with the Commissioner of Police today and when the Commissioner asked me what I wanted them to do with the case…I told him that I wanted peace. And the reason why I insisted on peace and not to drag the matter further i.e go to court, is because Wizkid and his lawyers have been apologizing since Friday, up until today!
I spoke with Wizkid through his lawyer on Friday April 15th where he tendered an apology to me and said he wasn't a violent person, that he didn't mean what he said, that it was just an emotional outburst. And then he asked for forgiveness.
But despite forgiving him, he still had to show up at the Police HQ to officially apologize and write an undertaken which he did today.
I see a lot of negativity has come out of this case with Wizkid – with many folks bashing me for reporting a threat on my person. But here's my consolation and why I am glad this happened. I promise you, especially the ladies, Wizkid will never threaten you with harm again. At least not inpublic. I believe I am the last bus stop. He will think twice before threatening another human being again on social media. A police file has been opened for him, and he has been cautioned. Having said that, I turned down taking a photo with him and the police commissioner this afternoon. One of his people took a pic of him and the commissioner with me in it and my people insisted they delete it. Not because I haven't forgiven him, I just don't need the extra drama.

Davido has two of his cousins – Sina Rambo and B.Red signed to HKN Entertainment, and though he has not specified which one of them is the cause of his aggravation, sources indicate that B.Red is the culprit.
This is not the first time there will be problem between the two either. In2013, B.Red along with his brother Sina Rambo left HKN after a disagreement in Atlanta.
The beef then was that the brothers had accused Davido of not doing much for their careers as much as he should after they chose him as the label's front line act. They also accused him of not giving them a chance to fully promote their new singles only to overshadow them at any given chance.
