Following
the abduction of the sister of Seriake Dickson a few days ago, the
kidnappers are yet to make any contact with family members as the
governor has threatened to fish out the abductors.
Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson
The Bayelsa Police Command had confirmed the kidnapping of the governor Seriake Dickson’s younger sister, Nancy Dickson.
The unfortunate abduction happened 24 hours before that of the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Local Government, Madam Serefina Otazi in the State.
Dickson's sister's whereabout is still unknown as the kidnappers are yet to make any contact with family members.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Asinim Butswat, the spokesman for the command, said that 26-year old Nancy was abducted in her shop located on Okaka Road, Yenagoa, on Saturday.
Butswat said that the gunmen, who drove in an ash-coloured Lexus SUV, trailed Nancy to her shop and whisked her away at about 2:50 p.m.
The Police promptly began a stop-and-search operation operation on vehicles in different parts of the state capital.
Interestingly, Governor Dickson had ordered the abductors to free Nancy or face the wrath of the law.
