Mikel Obi And Odion Ighalo Rewrite The Record Books At Their Clubs

It was a good weekend for Nigeria in the English Premier League as Super Eagles duo of Mikel Obi and Odion Ighalo attained new heights with their respective clubs. Odion Ighalo struck in the 2-2 draw with Chelsea to become the first ever Watford player to score in five consecutive English topflight games.
Mikel Obi entered the record books in the same game when he came off the bench in the 46th minute to make his 350th appearance in blue, the 21st player to do so. Also, the feat makes him the club's third-highest overseas appearance maker since his move from Lyn Oslo in 2006.

OMG! See What This Man Woke Up To Discover In His Store (Photos)

43-year-old Jan Dickinson, a menswear store owner was confronted with a sight any shop owner will dread. His village of Barrowford in Lancashire suffered severe flooding and his store was badly affected. He waded through the cold filthy waist-high water to save as much stock as he could but he still lost a sizeable quantity.
'When I arrived to open up, it was already under three feet of water and it was still rising. I had to make the decision about what to do before the water got too deep so I went in. I spent about an hour-and-a-half in the water trying to save as much as I could. The water was absolutely freezing and I now realise how people develop hypothermia so quickly when trapped in water. It was a bit of a panic, really.' he said

Di'ja Opens Up On Her Relationship With Don Jazzy

The pretty Mavin Records Singer has been in the
news for the past 4 weeks.
Reason?
Citypeople claims 'She didn't make noise about it. She
called a few of her friends and her mum invited her
friends as well and traditional wedding took place in
her compound in Kaduna.'
Well in this new interview, the Mavin star, Aphrodija
talked about the first time she met Don Jazzy and
more. Read the interesting excerpts from the
interview below
Meeting Don Jazzy, I felt like I was reborn. I met him
through my manager. He told we were going to see a
producer, I didn't know where we were going so we
ended up in Don Jazzy's house. I didn't even know
where I was. I ended up meeting Baby Fresh, Altims
and a few others. They started listening to songs that
I had done before and I had this nervousness in me.
Not long after, I saw a shadow behind me and when I
turned around to see who it was at the door, it was
Don Jazzy and I almost fainted, I just told myself to
stay composed. It even got worse when Don Jazzy
started listening to my songs, I just got so nervous. 1
thing I love about Don Jazzy is that he won't promise
you anything; rather he would tell you that he would
do his best. He told us he would get back to us and
the next day he pulled a call through and that was it.
We started recording and we recorded quite a few
tracks. At that time nobody was bothered about a
contract or papers, we just wanted to work. From
there I met Reekado and then Korede Bello. We didn't
even know there was a plan; we were just happy
working and enjoying each others company. We
recorded for about 8 to 9 months at that time before
Don Jazzy even considered giving us a contract.
How did you choose your kind of music?
I didn't, like I said I just became myself. I can write a
song for 5 years. I still have songs that I haven't
finished writing since 2008. This is because there's
just this thing about been yourself. They won't sound
the same again. Some people kill themselves when
they try to be like someone else. Some artistes go to
a producer and say I love that Woju beat that Kiss
Daniel sang on, I want something like that and then
they don't make a hit out of it like Kiss Daniel did.
This is because you don't know what mood Kiss
Daniel was in when he was writing and recording
Woju. So why not just be yourself and write your
songs as they come from your heart. I like been
crazy and I experiment my craziness while recording.
Sometimes I would be like Altims or BabyFresh
please commot that thing and they would be like they
love it and I should do it again. Sometimes I would
beg them to take it off and when Don Jazzy walks in I
would be like a little disturbed and he would
encourage me to be crazy, be free and be myself, he
would say be silly, it is actually trying to be silly you
find your smartest moment. Because it is during that
moment of been silly you would realize something
that would pay off. I think Music comes with a form
of madness. You just have to be free, crazy, silly and
yourself. Don't try to please everyone, please
yourself even if it takes you to be crazy.
How were you able to convince your parents on
you doing music?
I never really did, I always got into trouble doing it
and when I went to school in Canada, I was doing it
because I was far and my brother would encourage
me to keep doing it. One of my friends put me in a
competition, it was the Beat Music Award and we
were about 200 that put in for the award and that was
my first time singing to a crowd judging me. I know
that I sang my best but it wasn't my best that came
out. I think it was the passion and everything in me. I
ended up winning the competition to my surprise.
From then on, this was in 2008, I started letting my
mom and dad know. At that point I started
understanding my dream. When I met Don Jazzy, I
was at a point where I almost felt like going back
away from music. At that point, we didn't have a
house in Lagos so I was staying with my aunt.
Imagine waking up and leaving the house at 4am in
the morning and telling her that you are going to the
studio? She'll be like, who does gospel music in the
studio at 4am? I explained to my aunt. At that time I
had met my manager, he even interviewed me and I
was like "which one be this again'. He really took his
time and I'm grateful for that. If you are really doing
something you love, it might take a long time. Some
people think I just kind of popped out. My
professional life started in 2008.

PHOTO: Oba Akiolu Appears In Court Over Land Dispute

Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, has blamed some
officials of the Lagos State Government as well as
traditional rulers of the Ibeju-Lekki area of
responsibility for the crises besetting the
community, especially the deadly conflicts over
disputed land.
Oba Akiolu spoke earlier today when he appeared
at a coroner's inquest at the Lagos State High
Court in Ikeja. The inquest is mandated to
investigate the causes of crises in the Ibeju-Lekki
community culminating in several deaths. One of
the more recent deaths was of Tajudeen Disu,
chairman of the Lekki Free Zone that oversees
development in the disputed land area.
Giving testimony at the inquest, Oba Akiolu
criticized state government officials, saying their
greed had fueled the crises. He declared that
some state government officials were insincere
and blinded by their greed, leading to actions that
were against both good conscience and the
interests of the residents of the community.
In addition, Oba Akiolu stated that some
traditional rulers in the Ibeju-Lekki area were
only concerned with their selfish financial
interests. He accused them of cutting deals over
land rather than focusing on planning for the
larger community along and seeking the interests
of their people.
The Oba's testimony suggested that some staff of
the Lagos State Ministry of Lands and Survey
were engaged in rackets to issue certificates of
land ownership. He praised inhabitants of the
community for resisting the hijack of their
communal land by greedy officials who have sold
most of the land without helping to resettle the
displaced residents. Even so, Oba Akiolu criticized
the inhabitants for using the wrong methods in
their fight, noting that they lacked exposure and
were therefore easy to manipulate.
"The land belongs to the dead, the living and the
unborn," Oba Akiolu stated in his testimony to the
coroner, Justice Adesuyi Olateru-Olagbegi. He
added that the selling off the communal land had
indigenous members of the community into
strangers on their own land. He dared any of the
local rulers to oppose his position on the issue,
stating that they were too preoccupied with
cutting deals in order to obtain cash largesse
from business owners interested in acquiring
land in the area, but with no concern for peace
with the inhabitants

I Can't Marry A Fair Girl Unless I See Her Childhood Photo - M.I

MI has opened up on his phobia's ,confessing to
Potpourri (Vanguard) in an interview that he lives in
mortal fear of fair girls because he believes most of
them are not natural. He said before he would take
one for a wife he would need to see a picture of her
as a child just to make sure she is naturally fair and
not artificial. According to him, most girls have
bleached their skins for so long that it almost looks
natural. He said;
"Talking about the physical side of what I want in a
woman, I want my children to be tall, so, she must be
tall because I am not tall. Then I don't care about
complexion. If she is fair, that would be a problem
because I would have to see her childhood picture to
confirm if she's natural or artificial. Most ladies that
claim to be fair or appear to be fair these days get
unnatural means to achieve it. So, getting her
childhood picture would tell me all I need to know
concerning her true complexion", he declares
He however conceded that he would take in any girl
claiming to have got pregnant for him if he has the
proof that they have had sexual relations before.
"Yes, if I have a proof that we have been together and
done it because I believe that the best way for a child
to be raised is for both parents to be around. Look at
somebody like 2Face he has shown love to all his kids
and they are very close. Not only that, he has also
maintained a good relationship with the mothers.
When such situations arise, the best you can do is to
make the most of it by staying true to yourself and be
fair to all concerned"

PHOTO: I Bled Profusely, Fainted As ‘suspected Ritualist’ Raped Me 11yr-old Girl

Family says police asking for bribe to prosecute
assailant.
When Mrs Lawal sent her 11-year-old grand-
daughter (names withheld) on an errand to
deliver okro to a customer, she did not envisage
that the girl would be ambushed not to talk of
being raped.
The fate that befell the grand-daughter on
November 29, 2015, at Pure Water Bus Stop along
Lagos-Badagry Road, was better imagined than
experienced; she was found lying on a culvert
unconscious, with blood all over her body.
It was learned that victim was ambushed on her
way to the next street when a 27-year-old bakery
worker, identified as Sule, allegedly ambushed
her, dragged her to an uncompleted building and
raped her.
It was alleged that Sule then abandoned the little
girl there. She regained conscious and barely able
to walk out of the uncompleted building when she
collapsed on a culvert near Adebola International
School, along palace road.
The suspect allegedly ran away after the rape, but
police officers from Morogbo Divisional Police
Headquarters apprehended him a week later.
Narrating her ordeal, the Primary 3 pupil said:
''After my grandma returned from the market that
day, she sent me to her customer who sells
cooked food at the other street. She asked me to
supply her fresh okro which the customer had
ordered for".
''It was while I was on my way there that uncle
Sule, who works in a bakery at Itoro area, called
me. He said he wanted to buy okro for his wife. I
told him the okro was not for sale, and that my
mother's friend had ordered for it. He said I
should follow him, but I refused. All of a sudden,
he grabbed me and dragged me to an
uncompleted building. When I tried to shout, he
used his hand to cover my mouth. As I tried to
struggle, he tore my clothes and removed my
pants. He also used his nails to injure my back as
I attempted to escape, he over powered me and
raped me.""
Mrs Lawal, the grandma, also gave her
perspective of the incident. She stated: "After
waiting for about 30 minutes for her to come back
from the errand, I started looking for her because
the place where she was supposed to take the
okro to was the next street, less than 10 minutes'
walk. It was around 2pm that I asked her to go
and give the okro to my customer who placed the
order. After waiting for her to come, I started
looking for her before an Okada man came to
alert me that they had found my grand-daughter
at about 2:30pm, and that she was lying
unconscious on a culvert close to Adebola School.
When I got there, onlookers had gathered at the
scene. I was pained at what I saw; my little girl
soaked in her own blood, her clothes torn. It was
obvious she had been raped, as she was bleeding
profusely, but because she was unconscious we
didn't know who was responsible. Immediately, I
called my husband and he asked me to report the
case to the police. When we got to Morogbo
Police Station, they gave us police report and
referred us to the General Hospital, Badagry.''
She continued: "A doctor's report from the
hospital confirmed that my grand child was
raped, as she had deep cuts and severe injuries
inflicted on her virginal which caused the
bleeding. The doctor stated that because of
complications arising from the rape, her womb
had been affected and that she needed urgent
surgery. So they referred us to Igando General
Hospital, along Iba -LASU road where they said
they had the facility to handle her case."'
Also speaking on the incident, Mr Lawal, the
grandfather of the victim, said, "I was not at home
when my wife called me that something terrible
had happened.
Immediately, I asked her to go the police station
to report the case. I met her at Morogbo
Divisional Police Station.
"From Badagry General Hospital, I had to charter
a cab that took us to Igando General Hospital, but
because of traffic, we did not get to Igando until
around 11pm and, by 12 midnight, she was in the
theater because of the serious nature of her case.
She was on admission from that day till Sunday
when she was discharged.
''All we want is for justice to be done. Sincerely,
we don't know the effect of this rape on this little
girl. We don't know if the rapist did it for ritual
purposes. We want justice because we don't know
the outcome of this. Already, we have spent about
N150, 000 on the treatment and surgery she
underwent. Currently, the police at Panti are
demanding money to continue the prosecution of
the case. One of them asked for N20, 000."
It was gathered that the case was transferred
from Morogbo to Lagos State Criminal
Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba,
Panti, for further investigation and the girl's torn
clothes stained with blood are being used as
exhibits.
It was gathered that the victim, who is the first
child of her mother, has been living with her
grandparents since she was six years old.

Christians Engaging In Premarital Sexual Relations Before Marriage, Is It Okay?

Introduction
Common "wisdom" says that living together in a "trial
marriage" is a good way to determine if couples are
compatible before marriage. A companion paper,
based upon scientific studies, shows that this idea is
false. Many Christians seem to have bought into the
secular idea that as long as one is "in love" it doesn't
matter if couples live together (and engage in
premarital sex). The problem is that many times
"love" fails, and Christians end up moving from one
relationship to another. This paper examines what
the Bible says about living together before marriage,
for those who claim to be Christians.
Biblical love isn't a feeling
Most people think that love is that elated, "high"
feeling we get when we "fall in love." This kind of
"love" is something that lasts typically less than a
year. Most couples decide to live together during this
period of time when their decisions are often based
upon emotions and passions. According to the Bible
love "rejoices with the truth... always protects, always
trusts, always hopes, always perseveres... never
fails". One will notice from this description that love
isn't what you get from someone, it is something you
give to someone. The Bible confidently says that love
never fails, because as long as these things are done,
love cannot fail. However, if we are interested in
getting rather than giving, then selfishness always
succeeds in shipwrecking a relationship.
Sexual relationships and the Bible
The doctrine of keeping sexual relationships within
the bounds of marriage is so important that it is
spelled out in the second chapter of the first book of
the Bible (Genesis 2). The marriage covenant is
spelled out in the original narrative that describes the
meeting of the first man and first woman:
For this cause a man shall leave his father and his
mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and they shall
become one flesh. And the man and his wife were
both Unclad and were not ashamed. (Genesis
2:24-25)
The Bible actually encourages married couples to
enjoy their sexual relationships within marriage. The
New Testament confirms that sexual relations within
a marriage is not sinful. Paul says that those who
marry have not sinned. The writer of the book of
Hebrews states, "Marriage should be honored by all,
and the marriage bed kept pure," indicating that
sexual relations within marriage are "pure" and not
sinful.
Old Testament laws about sex
The Bible has a lot of bad things to say about being a
harlot. In fact, it was so frowned upon in Jewish
society that, among all the laws in the Old Testament,
spiritual unfaithfulness (idolatry) is compared to
harlotry. These days, people tend to think of harlots
as those who engage in multiple sexual relationships.
However, the Old Testament indicates that engaging
in even one sexual relationship before marriage (i.e.,
not being a virgin) makes one a harlot. Engaging in
consensual sexual relations with a married person
was a capital offense, and those who were found
guilty (both the male and female) were executed.
Consensual sexual relations between an unmarried
man and unmarried woman resulted in the man
being fined and required to marry the woman
without the possibility of any future divorce.
Essentially, there was no premarital sex, since once
you were caught you were married.
New Testament laws about sex
The New Testament confirms the laws of the Old
Testament. Specifically, adultery is condemned, even
including mental adultery, Inbreeding, and
homosexuality. Other sexual sins, including
premarital sex, are condemned through a couple
Greek words (the original language of the New
Testament) that can refer to a number of sexual sins,
depending upon context. These words are porneia
and pornos, from which the English word
"pornography" is derived. English Bibles will
translate these words different ways, so it is
important to know some of the ways in which the
words are translated. For example, the New
American Standard translates the words as
"fornication" (e.g., premarital sexual relations) and
sometimes as "immoral persons," which seems to be
some kind of generic immorality, although it
specifically refers to sexual immorality. Other English
words used to describe premarital sex include
"unchastity." The fact that these words refer to
premarital sexual relations can be seen in the
Pharisees answer to Jesus, where they insinuated
that He was born of fornication. The severity of this
kind of sin can be seen in the descriptions of what
will happen to people who practice sexual immorality
at the judgment.
The New Testament directly states that sexual activity
is to be restricted to marriage in the book of
Hebrews, where it condemns both adultery (engaging
in sexual relations with a non-spouse while married)
and fornication (engaging in sexual relations before
marriage):
Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the
marriage bed is to be undefiled; for fornicators and
adulterers God will judge. (Hebrews 13:4)
Conclusion
Premarital sexual relationships are strongly
condemned in both the Old Testament and New
Testament of the Bible. Therefore, Christians who
engage in premarital sex are breaking God's laws and
are not following Jesus Christ. Under such practices,
God is not honored, and both yours and your
partner's walk with Christ is hampered. In addition,
one's witness for Jesus is nullified, since even non-
believers know that living together before marriage is
not what a Christian should do. If you are involved in
this kind of relationship, you need to repent and start
living according to biblical standards. It is not okay
for a Christian to keep living a sinful lifestyle,
including sexual intimacy before marriage.
God bless you

Celestial Prophet Murders Church Member With Charm

A Celestial Church pastor, Prophet Samson
Olorunisola (alias Orun mi si), who is the
Shepherd in charge of Jehovah Lass Parish,
Powerline, Peace Estate, Ajasa-Command, Lagos,
is currently cooling his heels at Panti police
command for allegedly murdering a male
member of his church.
Olorunisola was said to have hit the deceased,
identified as Kehinde on the head with a diabolic
ring.
A group of worshipers at a Celestial Church of Christ
branch.
The deceased, who died after three days in the
hospital, confirmed that he was hit on the head with
a spiritual ring, but the pastor claimed that he used
one of the big crucifixes in the church on his victim.
Immediately Olorunisola saw the gravity of his
offence, he absconded, but was later arrested by the
police.
The unfortunate incident took place on the night of
Tuesday, December 8, 2015, after the pastor accused
Kehinde of trying to have carnal knowledge of his
four-year old daughter. He claimed that it was the
anger and effort to save his daughter that prompted
him to hit the deceased with the crucifix.
But before he eventually died, Kehinde who was
receiving treatment at a Lagos private hospital,
claimed that his pastor actually hit him with a charm
(ring). Taiwo, the twin brother of the deceased, who
resides abroad, is said to have vowed that justice
must be done on the case.
He has been communicating with other family
members in Nigeria to ensure that the killer of his
twin does not go unpunished.

WATCHOUT! Latest Facebook Scam Alert By Online Scammers

I'm a casual facebook user. Many times I can go for weeks without checking my account. Most of my friends know this and have no problem.
Today I was in church when I received five random messages from facebook saying the pin to access my account're x*xx, x*xx and x*xx. Not understanding what the message was since it didn't refer to my account directly I paid the message no mind.
After church service an unknown contact started calling my phone, giving me ten missed calls at a go. Wondering who this was and if was an urgent call from a potential employer I quickly picked up the phone. On the other line was a young man of say mid-twenties in age telling me he mistakenly typed in my phone number when facebook requested for his pin. I told him I received the messages and would send them via sms. He flashed my phone a few moments later as a reminder and I sent the most recent pin to him.
Fast forward about thirty minutes later, I received whatsapp messages from five of my friends telling me I've asked them via facebook for an urgent amount of N50,000.00 to get deposited in a strange account without any of my details attached. It was then it finally clicked that I willingly gave these fraudsters, these rogues, these animals in human skin the pin to access my facebook account for a free-for-all scam on all my facebook contacts. Immediately I changed my facebook password and announced on my timeline my account was recently compromised.
I don't know how to end this but I'd say; the same way people wake up and plan their way on how to remain productive to society is the very same way some people wake up with the incentive of defrauding others out of their hard earned pay. I don't know how these people sleep at night or live with themselves but may we have no reason to cross paths with them.

Goodbye from Van Gaal? Man Utd manager waves to travelling fans

The Dutchman saw his side beaten 2-0 by Stoke City
at the Britannia Stadium and, with his future the
subject of hot debate, gestures to supporters on his
way off the pitchIs this the end of the road for Louis
van Gaal? The Manchester United manager is
understood to be on the brink of losing his job after
his side suffered their fourth consecutive Premier
League defeat, losing 2-0 to Stoke City on Boxing Day.
The Dutchman has been adamant that he is the man
to turn around the Red Devils' fortunes but
frustration among supporters continues to grow and
some bookmakers are already paying out on him
being the next top-flight boss to lose his job.
As he walked off the pitch at the end of United's loss
to the Potters, TV cameras caught Van Gaal taking a
moment to wave to his side's traveling supporters -
was it a wave goodbye or an acknowledgement of a
poor performance?
